Tied Up by the Seat Belt

Hihihi .. finally this morning we tried to put her in the stroller and tied her up securely using the seat belt...
The seat belt is so cool ... It secures her upper and lower body at the same time...

Hahahaha ... finally I found the stroller's seat belt ... It was hiding under some messy stuffs inside the kitchen cabinet huehuehue...
Gabyyyy ... mommy found your seat belt honey .... hehehe

Relaxing in Her Stroller

Well ... due to her sitting practice, we made an adjustment to her stroller...
We adjusted the stroller's seat position into half-sitting position... so that she can practice sitting more and she can take a look around with wider sight whenever we take her out =)
Hihihi ... Mommy where's the seat belt?
Don't you know that we will be fined by the police if you don't put the seat belt on...

Hehehe ... actually ... I still can't remember where I put the seat belt ... I took it off a few months ago because of course she didn't need a seat belt in sleeping position... Yet I have no idea now where I should look for the seat belt ... hix hix...
I'm sure it's somewhere around the house ... but whereeeee??

Learning to Sit ^_^

Last Tuesday, we went to Gaby's pediatrist ... And he said that he wanted to know whether Gaby has been strong enough to sit without support ...
He laid her down and pulled her both hands up till she was in sitting position .... And ... she sat by herself!! Waoooo..... I was stunned ... I never thought that she was strong enough to sit by herself ... Well ... even tough her sitting position was not straight yet ... I was so elated!!
And the pediatrist told us to put her in sitting position whenever she plays.
Gabyyy ... you are such a smart baby hihihi ... Mommy loves you Gaby ... cup cup muah ^^

Nyam Nyam Kriuk... Kriuk...

Gaby has a new habit these past few weeks...
She puts everything she could reach inside her mouth ... including her own five fingers (not only her thumb ... but really really her five fingers!!)
I and her grandma thinks that probably her teeth are about to grow .. that's why she likes to chew alot!!
All of her toys are becoming the victims as well hihihi ... She tastes them whenever she reaches them huehuehuehue ...
Well, one of the book that I read said that it is the baby's way to fulfill their curiosity of new things... hmm hmmm
I'm amazed of how babies learn as in fact "Babies are the most genius creatures in the world!!"
Hmm .. hmmm... my ball tastes sooo good! hihihi

Sunday School Story: "A Good Shepherd"

Once upon a time, there was a little lamb which lived together with his herd in a farm.
They were taken care by a loving and caring shepherd. The shepherd always reminded all of his sheep not to separate themselves from the group.
Every day they were taken to a wide green field over a hill... the little lamb really wanted to walk further and find out what's there on the hill...
One day, the little lamb could not impede its curiosity and decided to wander alone to the hill...
Yet, the little lamb fell down to a deep cliff ....
At evening, the shepherd brought his sheep herd back to the farm ... He counted his sheep and found out that he missed one.... a little one ...
Then he searched for that little one to the field... to the hill ... and found it in the bottom of the cliff eventually ....
He held his little lamb so tightly and brought it home safely to the farm ...
Since that moment on, little lamb promised to always listen to his shepherd and follow his order... because the little lamb believed that his shepherd is a good shepherd who will give his life for his sheep
THE END =)

Jesus is our shepherd... a good shepherd... He gave His life for us, his sheep ... so listen to Him and follow His order...

John 10:14-16
I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me—just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep. I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there shall be one flock and one shepherd.

Pigtails ("Kuncir Dua")... hihihi ^_^

I always wanted her hair to be pigtailed.... yet it was still too short before...
But this morning ... finally I could do it ... even tough it was not too tidy yet hihihihi

Btw... I just found out the word "pigtails" from wikipedia (my favorite online encyclopedia).
Pigtails are a hairstyle in which the hair is parted down the middle and gathered into two symmetrical bundles, like ponytails, secured near the scalp. In some English-speaking regions, this hairstyle is referred to as "pigtails," but in others, the term "pigtails" applies only if the hair is braided. - wikipedia.

Little Football Player

Found this ball in the garage when papi finally had the intention of tiding up his messy stuffs.
I bought it last year for my students' performance (we wrapped it with silver metalic paper and used it as a fortune teller's crystal ball hihihi)....

We came to an idea of giving it to our little Gaby.... and surprisingly... she loved the ball ... she wanted to hold the ball with her hands ... yet since the ball was too big ... she used her legs as well hihihi ... she's so creative.. isn't she?... hihihihi

So, she ended up playing with the ball all day long .... =) even Mak Tien and Engkong Kiem Sing joined the fun =)

Easter Celebration

Happy Easter!!
It's a day to rejoice and be happy!
The Lord has risen!

The atmosphere of Sunday School today was sooo crowded as the Babies class and "Balita" class were combined ...
As usual, we started with some songs... and continued by story of the rising of Jesus Christ....
And then ..... "EGG HUNT"!!!! Yayyyyy ... yipiiiiii...........
Since most of the participants were babies and little kids.... of course the mommies, daddies & nannies were the ones who hunted the eggs hihihi .... (including me ;p)

I and Gaby started our hunt around the classroom and then ... GOTCHA!! We spotted a big round egg in one of plant's pot at the corner of the room... hihihihi ... Good job Mommy & Gaby!! ;p
The egg was exchanged to a goodie bag, a slice of pizza and a game ticket!!
Yipiiii .... A goodie bag full of chocolates and cookies and a slice of pizza for Mommy & Papi (huehuehuehue... sorry Gaby!! ;p)

After papi met us in the church's front yard, we rushed in to the games arena ....
Huhuhuhu ... most of the games were for big kids .......... (mini golf, bowling, bangle throw, ....)
"Fishing Arena" was the most exciting one... we were given a big plastic bag and a small net to catch the fish ... hehehe we had much laughter watching papi struggling to catch the big fish ...
We put the fish in a bucket .. hopefully they'll survive there =)

Chew! Bite! Chew! Bite!

Chewing and biting her teethers (and almost everything else that she managed to reach) have become her hobbies these past weeks....
I'm wondering whether her teeth is growing soon ... but usually baby's teeth start to grow by the age of 7-8 months right?? She's still 5 months!! ...
One book that I read recently said that the high passion of biting and chewing could happen months before the teeth grow ... so I guess that's what happen to her hehehe....

So now for her one teether is not enough .... two would satisfy her ... what about three?? hehehe never try it ;p
Have fun with her penguin and bumble bee teether

Gaby's First Cardigan Jumper ;p

Bought this white cardigan jumper about 2 months ago. It was too big for her thus I kept it in the corner of her cupboard.
Thanks to Grandma who reminded me of its existence. We decided to try it on her as it looked quite small now ;p
It fitted quite well on her body.. yet the legs' part was a bit too short...
Since grandma is good at sewing, she came to a decision of cutting the closed legs' part so that it won't be too tight for her.

She wore this cardigan jumper in her "evening sight-seeing" session hehehe
In fact, the cardigan was very useful to cover her head since it was quite windy this evening...........
hihihi... love this cardigan jumper ;p

Grab Her a New Book =)

Stopping by Periplus Bookstore at Summarecon Mall Serpong (SMS) because of the huge sign of "70% off" brought my attention to this cute book.
After doing some comparisons, I decided to grab it even tough it's not in the "70% off" shelf.

As soon as I reached home, I showed the book to Gaby and she loved it ... We browsed through the pages which showed cute photos of animals... hehehe

One Fine Evening

Yayy ... Papi went home early this evening .... And since I'm still in my holiday (term break holiday)... we decided to have fun with our little Gaby =)

Reading story books has become mommy & Gaby's evening routine recently ...

According to the book of "24 Bulan Pertama dalam Kehidupan Anak" (a very kind friend of church lent it to me), reading books brings lots of benefits for the baby...
Even tough it seems to be useless since she hasn't understood yet, she will learn and keep lots of new information in her brain ... she will also have advantage in learning the language as she is exposed more to the language...

So ... reading to her has become my new habit ;p
Our new habit: reading books ;p
(Grandmaaaa... why the picture is so blurrrr???...)

Playing with her favorite teether is also another routine for her all day long ehehehe...
We named the teether "Bumble Bee"...
Yet this time... papi joined her ...
hehehe spending time with her is so enjoyable!! ^^
biting "Bumble Bee" on papi's lap ;p

Sunday School Story: Jesus Heals Blind Bartimaeus

Mark 10: 46-52

Large crowds followed Jesus wherever he went, bringing their sick friends and relatives to be healed. On this day as he was leaving Jerusalem, he was again accompanied by a crowd of people.

As he drew near to Jericho they saw a blind beggar sitting by the roadside. His name was Bartimaeus.

He began to shout, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!"

The blind man's friends told him to be quiet, but he called out even louder to Jesus.

Jesus stopped and told his disciples to call Bartimaeus over to him. They said to him, "Cheer up! On your feet! He is calling you." He threw off his coat and came to Jesus.

Jesus asked him what he wanted, and he said, "Rabbi, (meaning 'teacher') I want to see."

Jesus said, "Go, your faith has healed you." Immediately, he was able to see, and he followed Jesus.

What a happy day in the life of this blind man who had believed in the healing power of the Son of God!

Grandma's New Way of Feeding Gaby ;p

Grandma is so creative... She found a new way of feeding Gaby hehehe ...

Since Gaby is having difficult time in drinking milk from bottle, especially in the morning, Grandma needs to be creative and for sure patient ... in feeding her ....
Various ways were attempted ... but still she couldn't drink a lot when I am away in school hix hix hix ...

Yet, this new way seems to be effective .. hopefully....
Grandma put Gaby on her "Bath Bed Set" (which is actually used to bathe her ;p) and fed her with spoon ... She set the "Bath Bed Set" into half-sitting position which made Gaby easier to swallow the milk...
And the "Bath Bed Set", which is usually placed in the bathroom, felt the comfort of our bed as it was placed on the bed huehuehue

So, I would like to give a big round of applause for Grandma for this new creative way huehuehue....

Let's see whether she can consistently adjust well to this new way ..........

One Morning Activity

Don't know why this morning seemed to be sooo relaxing and fun ... (well usually every morning is a hectic time =( ....)
Hmmm ... I guess it's because I slept quite early last night and woke up with fresh mind and happy face (hihihihi .... lebay mode -> ON)
I opened my eyes widely at 5.00 am ... hmm hmm only because my little Gaby has screamed out loud ... reminding everybody that she's awake.... hihihi .... she's even more diligent than her mommy heehehehe... (btw.. that's her habit every morning)
so as usual... I gave her a big big hug and a deep deep morning kiss hihihi and greeted her ....
Then as I heard the magnificent sound from her bottom.... buurrrp bruuut bruuuut ..... huehuehue I checked her diaper ... and found it full of poo poo already ... huhuhuhu... another morning routine ... changing her diaper ...
After playing with her for a while ... I was shocked since it's already 6.05. Putting her in her baby crib and letting her play with the Pooh and friends would be a great reunion since she hasn't played with them for quite some time ... and also giving me time to take a superbly quick bath hahahaha
After my super duper quick but clean bath (hihii), I found her on bed with her grandma and was ready to take a morning walk around the house... she looked adorably cuteeee ;p
Time to say bye-bye to her.... I hate this .... hix hix ....
But before I left... as usual we did the morning prayer together ...
Dear Jesus... thank you for this new day ... Jesus, please bless me throughout the day.. help me to grow become a healthy and happy baby ... Jesus, please also bless my mommy, papi and grandma... Thank you Jesus ... I love you so much Jesus.... In Jesus' name I pray .... Amen
And then ... "cup cup muah muah ... bye-bye Gaby.... see you later in the evening ... be good at home and drink milk alot honey .... Mommy loves Gaby so so so much =)"

And I was ready for my frantic day at school huhuhuu.... report card preparation... SLC preparation .... lesson plan ... monthly test papers .... waaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Sunday School Story - Naaman Healed of Leprosy

2 Kings 5 - Naaman Healed of Leprosy
1 Now Naaman was commander of the army of the king of Aram. He was a great man in the sight of his master and highly regarded, because through him the LORD had given victory to Aram. He was a valiant soldier, but he had leprosy.

2 Now bands from Aram had gone out and had taken captive a young girl from Israel, and she served Naaman's wife. 3 She said to her mistress, "If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria! He would cure him of his leprosy."

4 Naaman went to his master and told him what the girl from Israel had said. 5 "By all means, go," the king of Aram replied. "I will send a letter to the king of Israel." So Naaman left, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold and ten sets of clothing. 6 The letter that he took to the king of Israel read: "With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman to you so that you may cure him of his leprosy."

7 As soon as the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his robes and said, "Am I God? Can I kill and bring back to life? Why does this fellow send someone to me to be cured of his leprosy? See how he is trying to pick a quarrel with me!"

8 When Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his robes, he sent him this message: "Why have you torn your robes? Have the man come to me and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel." 9 So Naaman went with his horses and chariots and stopped at the door of Elisha's house. 10 Elisha sent a messenger to say to him, "Go, wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored and you will be cleansed."

11 But Naaman went away angry and said, "I thought that he would surely come out to me and stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, wave his hand over the spot and cure me of my leprosy. 12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than any of the waters of Israel? Couldn't I wash in them and be cleansed?" So he turned and went off in a rage.

13 Naaman's servants went to him and said, "My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, 'Wash and be cleansed'!" 14 So he went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, as the man of God had told him, and his flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy.

Red Little Missy

Hmm... got this dazzling red dress as Gaby's birth present .... I even forgot who was the kind person who gave it to us hehehe (sorry ;p).
It's been hung in her cupboard for about 4 months ..... till today I decided to put it on her ....
So today's theme is "Red Little Missy".
The dress actually came in a set with the red hat and red shoes, yet since the shoes are way too big for her, they're still there in the cupboard ... wrapped nicely in the box hehehe ... (gotta wait for another several months ......).
As the replacement of the red shoes, I put on a pair of white bear soft shoes (which is also a present from another kind person hehehe) .......

So here it is ..the Red Little Missy with her cute mom ;p .... posing at the church's small fountain corner.... ^^

Colic oh colic...

hix hix hix ....
colic oh colic .... poor little Gaby ...
another colic in these past few weeks ... this was the third time =(
Couldn't stand listening to her hysterical crying ...........
Baby colic (also known as infant colic, three-month colic, infantile colic and colic) is a condition in which an otherwise healthy baby cries or screams frequently and for extended periods without any discernible reason.
wikipedia.com
It is said that colic will be gone by itself along with the growth of the baby and there is no specific treatments for that ....

But I'm planning to consult to her doctor tomorrow ... to get ideas what actions could possibly be done to calm her down if the colic comes back .............
Hix hix ... Lord, please protect my baby ................

Cute in White

I just realized that since Gaby grows bigger now, some of her dresses won't fit her anymore...
So I started to dig out her cupboard and found this cute white dress which looked so so small now compared to her body ...
"Well, I have to put this dress on her now before it's getting even smaller"
So, I and my mom started "Gaby's dressing up" time and this is the result ^^

Baby "Pas Photo" 3x4 ???

Hmmm hmmm I really really wondered... how to make a "pas photo" of her???
The church admin staff just called my husband asking for Gaby's "pas photo" 3x4 as one of the requirements for her baptism on Sunday....
Well ... I had no other choice ... had to take a close-up picture of her nowww.....
But it's so hard!!... as she moved rapidly, most of the pictures I took were blurrrrrrrrrr =( =(
After struggling for several hours (hours?? not really hehehehe), finally I got 2 good shots... ^^
After a long debate and argument (lebayyy mode -> ON), we chose the left one as her very first "pas photo" hihihihi

First Time Swimming

Last week I saw a reportage of a baby spa service on TV...
a 2-months old baby was given a massage with aromatic lotion and then he was put in a small square bath tub filled with warm water.... he was swimming!!! with a ring on his neck...
they said swimming will enhance the growth of baby's motoric functions...

Waoooo i was amazed... now even a very young baby is recommended to swim...............
I've made up my mind!!... my little Gaby must swim also!!! hueheuhue (envious mode -> ON)

No longer than 3 days after, I got all her swimming equipments ready ...
A colorful ocean pool and a neckring!! hehehehe
